Jellyfin is basically as easy to use as plex within the same network. I’ve set up both dueing the past 6 months. The only big difference is that Jellyfin is much more of a pain to work through port forwarding.

It works perfect for me except for a weird bug that’s been documented for half a decade but no one is solving.

The bug being that when your DNS slows down and the connection is cut for a second. The torrent client doesn’t automatically try to restablish connections you actually have to restart the client to get your torrents going again.

It’s decent for something small but the rampant duplication of books sort of ruins the experience.

Like there aren’t many users so if we have 12 copies on the same book each with between 0 and 2 reviews it sucks when we could instead have one copy with pretty metadata and 15 reviews and some discussion.

You can help fix this manually but this is really more of a structural issue that needs fixing.
